I'm running General GMAX-RS 245/35r19 on my OEM S3 wheels 19x8 ET49. Lowered in DG springs. No rubbing even without the fender screw mod. Before this I was running some no name brand tires on 235/35r19s and I was able to fit my ECS Flush kit 15mm/20mm and still no rubbing. The wheels are super sunken in now. I am going to try some different spacer combinations.

245/35-19 Firestone Indy on VMR V710FF 19x8.5 ET45 no spacer front, 5mm spacer rear. Mildly lowered on MSS street adjustable springs nearly full low in front, level in rear. Whiteline LCA in front increased caster.

Practically no rub except hard/fast bumps and even then it only lightly scuffs the fender liner in front where the bumper and fender bolt together.

Is the rubbing up front? I'm running the same spec wheels and tires, Michelin PS4S though, and have no issues. I did do the "fender screw mod" a while back when I was running 18x9 wheels; if you haven't looked into that mod, take a look.

I'm running a Firehawk Indy 500 which runs slightly narrow for a 245.

I have a set of Neuspeed RSe102 19x8.5 et45 , initially I planned on doing the same setup as @Pound and install Indy 500 tires bcuz they fit for him with no issues but now I'm thinking of doing PS4S 24/35R19, are the Michelin's the same dimensions that they will fit ? according to tire rack on paper it says they are..

@Spoolin what's your setup and what do you think ??

Loving the PS4S, no experience with the Indy 500 so I can't compare there. I'm on 19x8.5 +45 wheels. Stock height and I've not once heard or felt any rubbing. I had already done the fender screw mod up front, so that might be helping. So glad to be back on Michelins. I had some BFGoodrich sport comp all seasons on my second set of wheels - good performance for the price, but so damn noisy. The PS4S are on another level of grip and much quieter. Moving from 18" to 19" with these particular tires it doesn't feel much stiffer at all; thinking the extra bit of sidewall from the 245 width helps slightly. Okay... time to stop rambling.

you have the same specs setup I'm looking for so it is good to know you had no issues and the PS4S worked well with it, I'm gonna pull the trigger on it then, hopefully I have the same results. and yeah I agree, I believe the 245 probably helps cushion the ride a little, that and it just looks aesthetically well

nahh no worries I can ramble on too, my gf says I'm gonna be that old man that's talking and you just nod your head too hahah
thanks for the reply and info :) ...I'll post pictures when it's ready

Nice, please share. I love the RSe102, still think about getting a set one day. I did end up adding a 5mm spacer in the rear (not on the car in the first pic, just haven't taken any new side shots). Never been big into spacers, but I loved the way the 18x9's I have looked flush with the rear fenders, could probably have gone with a 10mm.

245/40/R18 would these be okay for stock suspension? Hoping for no rubbing
Depends on your wheel size/offset and perhaps the specs of your tire. I had no rubbing with 245/40/R18 once I did the fender screw mod up front. I was running 18x9 +45 wheels and my tires had a diameter of 25.7". I later added 5mm spacers in the rear because the inside sidewall was very close to the rear shock (this wouldn't have been a concern with 18x8.5 +45 wheels). I didn't notice any issues before I installed the spacers and they were really more for peace of mind and a nice flush appearance.

This fall I'm planning on some Michelin AS4 in 245/40/R18 for my same 18" wheels and they have a diameter of 25.9", hoping the extra height won't make any difference.

What size are your wheels?

Stock 18" Wheel - Stock Suspension - 245/40/18 = Fits w/o rubbing

Stock 19" Wheel - Stock Suspension - 245/35/19 = Fits w/o rubbing

18x8.5 +45 Wheel - Stock or Lowering Springs - 235/40/18 = Fits w/o rubbing

19x8.5 +45 Wheel - Stock or Lowering Springs - 235/35/19 = Fits w/o rubbing

If you are lowered, anything wider than a 8.5 wheel or 235 tire and you are risking rubbing. Not only are no two cars the same, but neither are any two specific suspension setups. I've seen two cars with the exact same setup, one rubs and the other doesn't. You just have to test fit and drive the car. Also, different tire brands will have slight variances in size. Tire rack will say that the a Michelin & Continental Tire are the exact same measurements based on the size of the tire. Every single 235/35/19 tire will read the exact same measurements on their website, so you can't go off of that information.

I'm running - 19x8.5 +45 Wheel - Lowering Springs 1" drop - 235/35/19 and I have no rubbing at all. Have never rubbed even once.

I was also running a 245/35/19 on my stock wheels & suspension and didn't rub at all.
