Just updated my gateway to 5Q0907530AM and it seems to work better but not quite right yet... when the front sensors trigger, it pops the rear camera open as well... but that might be a coding issue somewhere....I had this problem in Skoda Octavia MY 2015 and gateway update solved my issues. Same fault codes - databus missing message, in both park pilot and camera controllers. The Part No SW of controller 19 was 5Q0 907 530 AJ and it was flashed to AM. After that, auto front park pilot started to work again and camera view stayed on the display up to 15km/h.
BTW, I bought the camera from the same seller.
I made highline camera retrofit to my Octavia MK3 2016 (pre facelift). I can confirm this is actually possible but you need CAN wiring to accompany this as well as changing the coding required. As 5F won't use RVC Low anymoreOk, and is it possible to replace just the camera from a lowline to a highline camera?
This Happened to me when the parameters for the camera don't exist. Because they don't exist, you can't touch any of the coding for the camera and as such the can bus freaks out.Hey, I Tried Enabling the BAP VPS.
And it adds an icon to the CAR menu that says Additional Camera, does it add this for you guys too?
Only if OnlineYea but ODIS seems to be more common and easier, Was told the proccess is automatic In ODIS.

It looks like it can be done in ODIS and OBDEleven, I don't have VCDS so I wouldn't know about that.
OBD and ODIS give exactly the same options for calibration if you're not using the GFF.
Few issues to potentially expect:
- If your parameters file is that of another car or wheelbase, when you put in your basic settings values, the car won't accept.
- If your 6c coding for your Brand, Vehicle Class, Car Generation, Vehicle Variant, Car Derivative, Country Coding, Equipment Steering Variant & Transmission is wrong, the car won't like the values. (Try mimicking those of 5f or 76 that came from factory.)
- If the approach you've taken is to trick "certain" software by selecting a different car project code in your session (Eg. Not 5G 37x Golf 2013 >) to that of another model for it to accept the settings, then yes that may work to clear the error code, but I would imagine you might run the risk of scraped wheels or a broken bumper if you trust those lines with your life or even worse you have park assist where it works out the space and parks for you. Reversing a Touareg with polo parameters would have interesting results.
- There are conflicts on what msg bus should the HL camera reside on in 5f. - Terminal 15 would match what the parking sensors are running on and what carsyseu suggested, - Databus infotainment is what some forums have suggested and comfort is what the majority have seemed to go with. All options worked for me but I'm wondering if a conflict on the msg bus might throw off the basic settings?

76 Parking Assistant - I'm wondering if 2 Rearview Camera is the correct option to use for a Highline Camera on a golf which never was meant to have the highline?
I wonder if 3 Environmental Camera, 4 Camera System,Japan Version are options which might help?
Adaptations apparently needed although I can't see these in my 5Q0980556B 0231 H18 version? So many parameter files exist for H12 but not H18.
Channel 4 = 20,000 MINUS Wheelbase of your car MINUS the distance you've put your car's reax axle (middle of rear wheels) from the front of the board on the floor. - Golf 7.5 Hatchback Wheelbase is 2626mm.
Channel 5 = 500 PLUS the height of the domino from the ground. If this is the board itself then i think it's 10-20mm. If it's paper then it's going to be 0-1mm.

- Watch out for Sir Brickalot hiding out there - 6C_5Q0980568B-GOLF7.xml I jumped the gun without checking the numbers and saw GOLF 7. I'm now paying the price
- Downtime & DarkChina really have purveyed a lot of work on this already with them siphoning german forums concluding that the 556B variant is a PITA! They have suggested getting the 568B instead. 556 is usually reserved for Audi's. @IWMTom also concluded an extra domino may be required.

If this all goes wrong after trying everything, I might get the 568B variant camera like darkchina and just swap them out in the emblem. Very quick and easy to do. I've had to do it a couple of times from bricking a few in the past. assuming the emblem is off the car, its 4 screws, then 2 bolts, 1 counter sunk screw and finally the tiniest torx screw you've every seen holding the camera in the whack a mole hut.
PROCESS
Checks:
- Camera lens must be clean.
- Vehicle needs to be positioned on a firm and level surface.
- There must be sufficient space all around the vehicle being calibrated.
- Parking brake is applied.
- Steering wheel in zero position, wheels point straight ahead.
- All doors and rear lid are closed.
- There is nobody in the vehicle.
- Vehicle is not loaded (curb weight).
- Before calibration: switch on ignition.
If the value is not identical: – Adjust calibration unit - VAS 6350- until values on both sides are identical. – When adjusting, make sure that linear laser - VAS 6350/3- hits centre of Volkswagen emblem and spirit level display also re‐ mains centred. If necessary, readjust accordingly.
Dimension -A- between calibration board and wheel centre mountings - VAS 6350/1- is 1.40 m to 2.00 m
Dimension -B- is the difference in height between the centre of the reversing camera lens and the wheel support surface
Dimension -H- is the board's height off the ground.

Well, this is not 100% correct. Golf MK7 came with Highline camera. Part numbers are: 5G0-827-469-H; 5G0-827-469-P; 5G0-827-469-R; 5G0-827-469-T; 5G9-827-469-G; 5G9-827-469-H; 5G9-827-469-Q; 5G9-827-469-S; 5G9-827-469-AA. Not sure what regions it was available at and if for example MIB2 Discover Pro was required for it to be installed from factory, but OEM Highline camera in Golf MK7 is a thing.
