It says I have 375 HP now and need 440 HP to run 11.43. So 65 more HP at the crank, figure another 50 wheel or so. IS38 should get me close.
That sounds about right - those calcs vary depending on the site etc. IS38 should do a lot of it but think you will need more weight removed. I re-ran with my race weight and I should be able to pick up a little more (12.4/109) by taking all the crap out. But the thing is...my DAs are crazy b/c it's so cold now so when it warms up those times will increase.

You have a big advantage over alot of people with being able to launch your car 50x a day without police scaring you. Go is38 lets see what you can do. I’m def interested. For what its worth you do obsess over perfect shifts and launches which is a recipe for record times

This is probably about it. Took crap out. Cold. E30. Weight would be about 3450 with me.

If I was dsg and awd, I would of pushed this platform much harder
It's 100% why I bought what I did - S 4Mo trim and DSG with the intent of having some fun and being able to carry crap in a daily. Just incredible value. Mine was ~$19K before TTL so $20K OTD...it was less than my 2013 Focus HB stick I bought new. I think that's the part folks aren't seeing when we discuss this car elsewhere....it was inexpensive to start with and even with the IS20, DP, intake bits, and sofware (including install) you are looking at like ~$5K more so $25K. Yeah....it has cloth seats and not a ton of features, but who cares!

Good Job on posting that video. Legit run. Thing moves out. Haldex is a beautiful thing.
Thanks man! Sure had some fun in the last few weeks with this Dragy and the video part is a hoot! I'm beyond happy with my car. Just mind-blowing to me that you get this with a laptop and a few standard bits of kit.

That's just sick. Digging around the Internets, when Car&Driver tested the 2001 911TT, they recorded 0-60 in 3.9. 1/4 was 12.3@116. At the time, that was mind-blowing. $120k in 2001 dollars. The 360 they tested? 13.1@110 (pre-DSG self-shifting gearboxes were crap).

I assume a 6MT would trap similar MPH but not match the time without being insanely abusive (and maybe not even then).

I know it! I paid $20K for this thing...and figure ~$5K of stuff to get it to that point. Hilarious. Kudos to VW for making such a great little car/platform for us to have fun with!

Yeah, I'd say the trap speed would similar but the time will be off by a bit.

I think you meant 60-100. Lol. You're only 3 tenths off of the world's fastest is20 wagon and you are heavier and on a 93 octane file still. I believe you are down 5-6 psi from that APR 100 octane tune. Maybe some lightweight wheels, lightweight battery and go vacuum out all of the fleshlights!
