Another EQT convert and a few questions...

I think the lag fix is worth the price of switching. As it is now, if I really want to mash the throttle, I have to be over 3500 RPMs or get on it from 1st gear, which is useless with all the wheelspin. It cuts down on the opportunities to even use the power. It's basically all or nothing.

On a side note, I have another question: IIRC, the normal procedure is to plug a battery charger to the car during reflash, in case the battery dies and bricks the ECU.
I don't have one but do have a Jump N Carry. Would that work?

Yes it would work. It says in the description "built in automatic charger".

I've never had to hook up a charger to my battery while reflashing my car, not even for the initial flash. It only takes like 2 minutes to switch tunes using the AP.

I always changed tunes without using a charger but evidently my battery was getting weaker and the Access Port would not let it flash the tune. It stayed on the screen telling me to connect a charger.
It just wouldn't continue and there's no way to force it to flash anyway.

How old is your battery?

It's new now. I got the new one because I figured the old one was getting bad when it prevented me from flashing. It was 2 years old and 95,000 miles and with the heat in Phoenix I figured it was time.

Damn you, Mapquest!

It was a joke about Mapquest giving you the wrong directions, leading to all those miles in only two years. Just a little humor. Very little, apparently.

Now that I understand it is funny. Went right over my head.

Some EQT users reported the DV issue hanging open on partial throttle as not fixed. I am one of them. Can't say it bothers me a whole lot, but it is still present.

It's fixed for all their tunes. Did you get yours tuned before that?
