Installing ebc yellows (pp) they have the wear sensor plug which I don't think gti has? Should I just cut off the plug and go?

One front has the sensor, the rears don't.

Nice timing. I just changed my front pads (PP) for the first time and was surprised there was no sensor on either side. Or at least nothing was connected to the stock pads.

I have two new sets of front pads. Ferodo DS2500’s that don’t have a sensor and a set of TRW pads that do.

I bought this bypass thinking I was going to need it for the Ferodo’s.

Not sure what to think now.

2015s don’t have the wear sensor, 2016+ does. If you have a 2015, just snip the sensor from the pads. If you have a 2016+ and are using pads w/o sensors, you need the bypass plug that Hammersticks mentioned. I have one if you need it, just PM me and you can have it for free. Gotta find it though

When I had my 2016 GTI, I came across the same thing.
Tried a set of EBC Yellows, which came with the sensor wire/plug.
My car didn't have the sensor setup, so I just cut off the wire at the pad.

The OP's original post is clear to me so I don't know what the issue or attitude is all about.
