Most aggressive meat setup I've ever run. Do not recommend.

RE71R 265/35R18 front on 18x9.5 ET38 and 235/40R18 rear on 18x8 ET40. Put on a 10mm spacer in the rear, but prolly will reduce to 5mm or none.

-3.9 degrees of camber, can go up to -5.5 but kept it reasonable for daily dual duty.

They rub a little right now in the front, but I have just the thing to help with that .

255/35/18 PS4S on 18x9+45 Neuspeed RSE11R. 100% stock suspension, no rubbing but adding front camber and 3mm rear spacers soon (strut clearance is quite tight with these tires).

Do the front stick out right now with stock suspension? That's the combination I am looking for. How tight is the tire to strut clearance? Can you post a pic? I am looking at 18x9et48 wheels right now, and I am going to lower it at the same time with H&R OE Sport Springs and need to find out if I can get by with the camber inserts. If I need plates I may just go with 18x8.5.

I would call it flush with the fenders in the front. It definitely sticks out past the bumper if viewed from the front.

I'm not very comfortable with that so I'm adding spacers to get +42 in the rear. I wouldn't run 18x9 +48 in the front, it would look like this. At least with PS4S. I get a full finger of clearance in the front with +45.

Thanks, yes, if I end up running them I will be adding a 3-5mm spacer in the rear, but it all depends on clearance after the alignment. The 48 are OEM Audi wheels... still waiting for a set at a good price. Definitely not buying new at almost BBS LM prices.

Currently had to push the front to max neg camber at like -6 for now so I can air the car down, but heres how it currently sits with:

Fronts - 18x8.5 final Et around +15 on 265/35 tires and -6 camber (temporary) *not stock fenders

Rears - 18 x 8.5 final Et +20 235/40 tires
-3.2 camber

You may be fine without a drop, but it depends on the offset.

No but it is very close. I am waiting on 3mm spacers to go to +42. A wider 255 tire would rub.

Thanks mate for the reply .I measured a clearance of 13mm between the wheel and shock/strut ,MK7 Golf R with MCA coilovers .
I was looking at an ET47 ,the wheels I'm looking @ 18x9" wide can be made with ET's from +12 - +50 .Cheers

If I go with the 17x8 OZ Alleggerita, what size tires should I get? Stock ride height, and honestly I don't fully understand all of the numbers associated with this. I would prefer a wider tire for traction in 1st and 2nd gear. I don't mind more sidewall either.

235/45-17 would be perfect for that size. 245/40-17 would also be fine, but that's a shorter tire and will increase the appearance of a wheel-gap

Golf 7R is currently on ED lowering springs 1" drop with 235/35/19x8.5 ET 43 (no rubbing)

looking for a new set of tires, and thinking of going for 245/35, will this setup rub?
