So I haven't been able to find a definitive solution for this question and I am hoping to have a knowledge bomb dropped on me. I have a 2016 mk7 golf s, and have swapped my basic headlights for the the Helix R lights with dual daytime 'U' lights, projectors and cornering lights. Additionally my car did not fog lights so I retrofitted them through a BCM upgrade and coding, that coding allows the fog lights to be my cornering lights. So my question is this: can I wire the headlight cornering lights in series to the fog lights or will that cause the foglights to fail due to power draw? Additionally would I need to run wires from the headlights to the BCM and code separately? I would like to keep the foglight cornering lights and add the headlight one to help illuminate late night drives, (lots of deer and such around my location)

Hi,

I’ve done this retrofit using the Rs headlights and needed an extra module for the headlights range control (hex55) and connect to the gateway to be able to work, not mentioning a new harness that I had to pass to be able to make it work.
