Acc,Front assist and start-stop problem

Hey All,
I have just replaced the battery on my MK7 Golf GT TDI, everything went to plan. Sensor errors on the dash as normal, went for a driver, and all the sensor cleared apart from one 'ACC and Front Assist not available' is this something I can fix on my own, or is it a VW task??

This was working before the battery was replaced.

Did you turn the car off and start it again after driving?

The TPMS sensor lights clear immediately but the acc warnings need the car to turn off before they are gone.

It's working now, had to start-stop the car 3 times before it cleared. thanks again @KyACRASH

Earlier today my wife was driving our child to school and somehow managed to hit the curb at somewhere around 30 mph.

The tyre failed straight immediately but she managed to crawl home as the school is not far away.

The car is now reporting 7 errors :

ParkPilot
ABS/Stablisation Control (ESC)
Hill Hold Assist
ACC and Front Assist not available
Start-stop system
Type pressure loss indicator
Cornering light (AFS)

Another thing to mention is that the power steering seems less effective - I do think it's working to some extent as it's not as heavy as a car without PAS.

My first thought was that she has done some serious damage to the car but now I am thinking that perhaps some cable(s) became detached - I had a quick look under the bonnet but nothing obvious. I can try disconnecting/reconnecting the battery if that may help...

Is there anything which I can try other than that? I don't have VAG-com or anything similar...

The issue was that the cable leading to the abs sensor on the side where the car took the impact had come loose.
After pushing it back in firmly, all errors went away

Opening it up may be more hassle than it’s worth, if it were me I’d just replace it and hope it fixes it, you may need to clear the fault codes once you’ve replaced it and a short drive may be necessary to finalise the replacement

A used radar can be had for about a 100 dollars. I would find a vw specific garage and have then install it. Doubtful a vw dealer would install a used radar

Hi, newbie here and apologies for resurrecting an older thread. I have the same issue regarding ACC, start stop, hill assist and the anti crash systems not functioning. I ran a check on the codes yesterday with my vgate plug and got the following codes below. Do you think that changing my battery will cure these errors and get the features working again?

Your gateway can't "see" your front radar. Check the connector at the radar. And in fact I don't see Module 13 on the list at all.

Yes I have checked the connector and also the radar and it’s like new. The car has only done 45k 15 plate.

Forgive me but what’s module 13? It could be that the free scanning app I used might not be very good at picking up all the modules.

I have got an obd11 pro pack on order should get it tomorrow so I’ll see what that comes up with and report back.

Ah okay. Well I’m hoping the databus errors are being caused from the battery which in turn is causing the lack of communication between the modules, this is what I’ve read on this thread anyway so thought it would be worth a try. I’ll try the new battery I have on order coding it in with obd11 and if it doesn’t work I’ll test the wiring at the sensor with a meter and see if anything isn’t right there.
