acc fault

my 2016 gtd golf mk 7 gets a fault up ACC the a warning symbol a yellow coil light I get a warning to pull over stop car then start again after this its fine for maybe a week then the fault comes back any ideas please

I don’t think the coil light would be indicative of an ACC fault, could be linked though! Best the get the car scanned for fault codes and go from there.

Coil light is glowplug light.


ACC fault pops up with every EPC condition. Not sure about glowplug condition.


Buy an OBDeleven or Vagcom. Invaluable for VW owners.

My 64 plate GTD use to do this and go into limp mode but this was because I had a tuning box on the car and was running too high a map. It was fun, fast , but every week or so it would do this so I had to turn it down a map then it was fine no problems. When I got this error I had to unplug the box start the car without a map then after a minute or so just plug the box back in and run the map.
