OFFICIALLY THE QUICKEST AND FASTEST UNMODIFIED IS38 TURBO IN THE WORLD!!!! Which also makes it the fastest stock turbo VW in the world, on any platform .
I ran an 11.1@125.9mph with a best trap speed of the night at 126.85mph last night. The car ran great and the weather conditions were pretty good, but the track prep was non-existent minus the 15-20min they spent at the beginning while setting it up. As a result, I went slower and slower as the night went on to the point where I gave up, so did almost everyone else on this test and tune night well before closing.

My setup for this run was seats and spare tire removed, custom straight through 3" exhaust that dumps at rear axle, E30 mix fuel+meth injection for cooler intake temps, M&H Racemasters 26x8.5x17 tires on custom 17x9 Signature wheels and JB4 turned up to kill mode lol. 100% factory IS38, factory fuel system throughout, and engine/trans all stock internally. Please keep in mind this car is still my daily driver and it's intention was to build a great daily/autox/track car... never drag racing. So it's suspension setup and brakes are not very friendly "drag friendly", but good tires and plenty of power do the job just fine . I really want that 10sec pass on this setup though, so I'm going to keep at it until I get there .
I will do video shortly of me removing the downpipe and turbo inlet so that everyone can see the compressor and turbine on the turbo, I already have people claiming I am running a hybrid unit so I want to put that theory to rest and be as transparent as possible.
This community has some amazing people and vendors within it who have given great advice, helped problem solve along the way and hooked me up with some awesome deals too. It's crazy because not too long ago many of you may remember that I put my car up for sale and was ready to move onto a new build until I got to chatting with George Smooth Andrinopoulos at Burger Tuning and he got me excited about this car again. He has been MEGA helpful and played big part of this achievement in so many ways. We worked for weeks setting up and dialing in my JB1/4 and meth system properly, as I was a guinea pig for stacking on this platform and the JB4 before it was released. The system is so easy to use that you'll catch-on quick once it's all setup and be tuning your own car in no time, and it clearly produces results if you know what you are doing. I have been running this setup for 9months now without a single issue and I'm still finding new ways of extracting more power out of it. While I do 99% of my own work on the car, the guys at Smith VW Perfomance and Tuning (especially Arno Kissell) have played a huge part in my build too. They have been my go-to retailer for most of my parts and always been there when I needed them with customer service that goes above and beyond. Dealerships are usually a dreadful place to go, but here they are all enthusiasts too and it's one of those places you go to for a quick part, but end up getting sucked into great conversation to the point where you forgot why you came there in the first place lol.
Thanks to everyone else who has helped me along the way too and I look forward to "bigger and better" things later this year
