A/C Either Cold or Hot (Nothing in Between)

Taking my car to the dealership for the 2nd time for this issue, 1st time they said it works as intended but I can't believe it actually is.

The A/C temperature settings range from 60F - 87F, anything below 86 is cold, lukewarm at best. I would assume since 73/74 is in the middle, anything above that it starts to get warmer but until I crank it up to at least 83 I feel nothing but freezing cold air. Can anybody confirm how their A/C feels at different temperatures so I can push the dealer to actually fix the issue? Last time they said they also tried it in a Golf they had on the lot and it worked the same as mine. You can also see below that even at 87F the arrows are blue for cold air (which it feels like cold air), when I move the dial 1 more to "Hi" temperature the arrows turn red for hot air.

Thanks.

I can’t say for sure but from what you’re saying, I think it’s normal? Are you saying it’s too cold or not cold enough?

You may already know this but there are a couple coding values in the HVAC that basically makes the system “overshoot” the temperature that you pick. I’ve disabled both on my gti, heating and cooling. I just leave mine on 72/75 in auto.

The other thing is that it takes input from the outside temp and the sunlight sensor, so if it’s too hot and sunny i don’t think it will produce heat on anything but “HI”.

It basically blows cold air when setting the temperature at low/60F all the way up to 83F. Once at 84F I can feel a slight hint of warmer air and the same at 85-87F. Once at Hi it blows extremely hot (as it should). There doesn't seem to be much temperature variation since it just blows cold air from 60F to 83F, with the max possible value of 87F.

Which HVAC coding values are you talking about? The only ones I've heard about are the fan speed when set at auto temperature and something about hot climate A/C, which I have not done.
