How do you like it compared to the 1le? When I was looking at replacing my Gti those were the two options. I obviously ended up in the R, mostly due to cost of ownership but part of me wishes I went camaro.

Funny, we have many cars in common in this thread.
I had a 2011 C6 Grand Sport I traded for a 14 C7 Z51 while I had my 13 R. Traded the R for a 15 Mustang GT PP, then traded the C7 and the Mustang in for an order of a 16 C7 Z06/Z07. Same week I got a 16 BMW M235i. Traded the m235 in for a 18 Camaro SS 1LE. Then traded the 1LE for an 18 Colorado ZR2. Traded the Z06 in on a 19 991.2 GTS. Just traded the ZR2 in on a 19 R.
So now I have the 991.2, R and a 18 Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon.
My thoughts on the 1LE was that it was a blast in the summer, but not much fun even in light rain on the OEM Goodyear's. I live in California so "winter tires" are pretty much unheard of here. In the end, it was too similar to the C7 (2 seater, V8, manual transmission) and not as good quality interior to keep them both so I went for the truck for a bit. My commute is also 150 miles round trip, so 13MPG the way I drive wasn't smart for the cost.

Yeah, I'm in the north east corner of Contra Costa County and drive to San Jose.
Leaving home at 3AM and leaving work about 11AM to finish up from home is key in keeping your sanity.

That is nice that you can work those hours. I bet at 3am you can let er rip once in awhile too.

Yeah, at that time in the morning the average speed in the left two lanes is 80-85 for about 20 miles on my commute. I've had highway patrol pass me while doing 85 and not blink an eye.

Im heading to USP in coral springs to do just that! Hate to void the warranty but car needs a little extra. Fun fun
