400whp GTI vs 540whp Cobra

A friend recently picked up a super clean SN95 Cobra with a blower, made 540whp on the same dyno I use.

Going to get together this weekend for a few fun runs. It's a stick car on DRs vs my car on street tires. Probably go from 60mph because it's still cold here. In the spring he'll be making 200whp more, so it's now or never lol.

I've got a pretty good weight advantage but it's not going to make up for 140whp.

Curious as to predictions on how many car lengths I'm losing by...

Do you dead hook from 60? If so I would think this will be a good race. His setup is good for low 11s.

I don't make that much torque on pump gas (373wtq) and run a decent street tire on a 17" wheel, so it's not THAT bad, but I'm going to brake boost it so it's going to spin somewhat.

It's been raining for 3 days so the roads are clean...still not going to dead hook but I'll make it work. ;)

I live in the mustang capital of the world. Near Santa Claus, Lville Kentuckiana area. I live to collect mustang tears. I know those cars very well as myself have had four from 200-800rwhp. Blown and on some shot

An underwhelming ots is38 is about a stock terminator if that gives you an idea Mt to Mt. I think you'd get him turned up on the litco but if he is not full weight and you're on pump gas he may drag you during midrange of 4th. Should be good one

I agree, I think I'll lose but hopefully it's close.

My pump gas tunes are not particularly aggressive, 7.8 degrees max timing. When Cobb comes out with MPI I'll squeeze another 40-50hp out of it.

He's adding meth and a 200 shot in a few weeks. Won't be close after that lol.

Not very.

Good running stage 2 car would run away from one.

What's ur ting advance in the meat of the band? 4k-6k rpm?
