2nd trunk light

I posted a more detailed version of this in the DIY section if you’re interested but figured I’d share a quick run through here.

Some might think this is pointless and some might even get a heart attack that I cut some plastic off but in my opinion for $7, it was worth it....besides, we don’t own a collectible/classic type of car.

It’s not perfect but it’ll do for now. I need to get matching LED (passenger side is Ziza and driver side is one my friend gave me which appears to be AliExpress)

Link to where I bought the harness (you can buy the set of matching lights and a harness from them or source your own light and just get the harness from them. I just wouldn’t recommend using regular bulbs as LEDs draw much less power):

I will be adding a third light under the false boot floor also

No, I ran it across the headliner.

I removed the plastic panel that covers the two rubber accordion style boots (you do not need to remove the boots). And dropped the pigtail alongside the upper side panel.

Got the lights installed today. The ones I got didn't have the yellow hint as you sugested which is nice.
Pulled the cables behind the trunk trim. The light I put under the false boot floor coudn't be fit in the middle, as there is a steel bar behind the trim, so had to put it on the side. Two of the extensioncables have enough length for the complete modification.

The holes were cut with a dremel tool. I drew the rectangles for the holes on pieces of masking tape and put the tape where I wanted to cut.

Easy 30min~ish modification.

Looks great!
I think shade of yellow or off white I mentioned is more noticeable on my car as one side has the China light and the other is the Ziza which I have on the way at the moment. You can see the different shade of color from this picture.

Didn't even notice it earlier. You could always change them to the same ones if it becomes an issue. But I guess that it probably isn't as noticeable when you aren't looking for it.

Yeah I was going to order it later on but my wife left the “Recent Orders” screen from ecs up on the computer and there were a few things there, one being the 2nd Ziza light for the driver side (....ooops, I don’t think I was supposed to see that lol. My guess is stocking stuffers from her to me)
