255/35/r18 tire fitment

255/35-18 Indy 500s on flow one f2 18x9 et45, stock height . Fender screw mod only. 0 rubbing. Wish I went 265 due to still having a good lip exposed on the rim.

kep, I'm considering the same setup with 255/35-18 on 18x8.5/45 offset wheels for autocross on my Alltrack w/Golf R suspension, and EuroSport camber pucks. It might not clear the gas filler on the Alltrack?

What tires were you running?

The tires were Accelera 651 Sport. They run on the small side, and my current set of 235/40/R18 Falken RT660 is actually larger (and also doesn't rub).

I have 255/35/18 and no rubbing issues whatsoever with my coilovers.

35 aspect ratio seems silly on your 18's. not really accomplishing anything.

your overall diameter is exactly the same size as a 225/40 tire so unless you want an oddly skinny sidewall on 18's go for it.

just get 235/40 or 245/40 tires

235/40 ON A 18X8.5 rim look skinny and slightly stretched in my opinion, that's the set up im running rn bc i wanted to be safe, whenever i switch tires ill definitely go 245 or 255 cause i want a meaty rally look a like set up on the wheels

i got the hawks and would definetly switch from my 235/40 on 18x8.5 to 255/35 you being 18x8 i would go 245/40

235/40 imo, tread width should be slightly less than wheel width for maximum turning perf. depending on your setup it can just slow you down for straight line since larger tires would just be adding rotational mass.

Oh! And I’m lowered on BC coilovers w/whiteline control arms and roll center kit. No rubbing at all.

I have had great luck with et45 offset.

255/35 on 18x9+45 didn't rub at all with stock DCC suspension or eibach pro-kit springs.

Do you also know te range of offset that world work good? I want to buy rims from something with 5x112 and then offset like 42 or 48 is normal? And with stock camber on rear and front
