Hey folks, I have a 2021 MK7 GTI that I’m planning to autocross. Modifications to suspension/tires/etc are KW V2 Coilovers, 034 dogbone mount, EMD flush kit, and Pilot Support sports on the stock 18" Pretorisa. After putting on the set of Pilot Super Sports I noticed the car tracked weird It went from nice and straight to pulling to the left. According to the alignment shop (well regarded out here) everything should be in line but it appears there is a .6 variation in caster. The technician stated that road force balancing would possibly help, but that just seems odd to me. Thoughts? I'm looking at the dead set kits and trying to decide between Tyrol and 034. I'll also have my tech check the top hats of the coilovers to make sure things are straight and tight.

I answered similar on the LVR page, but what are you running for lower control arms? OEM?

I’m sitting at .5 difference in caster, but that’s due to me not wanting to keep fiddling with my offset LCA bushings. Your tech will need to compensate for that in an alignment, if they’re good. If you start messing with the subframe to tweak your alignment, which is a valid method, they better be really good a know your car. Also be prepared to have them replace your bolts. But yeah, getting it closer to even both sides is ideal.

Switching tire compounds and sizes could also make a small adjustment more pronounced if going from ok tires, to softer compound with more grip.

034 deadest kit will work, if you have no problems replacing the single use bolts. Tyrol is nice, and has ARP hardware. But that’s about the only 034 parts I’d consider using.
