2019 GTI rabbit edition
7 speed dsg
Unitronic Stage 1 TCU/ECU since 8k miles
Currently 16k miles
EDIT - This happened once a few weeks ago, and then twice the evening i posted this during a sub 5 mile drive...
First gear has either shifted at 3500 rpm or continued all the way to nearly red line. This was in D and while slowly accelerating. It was also intermittent and could not be replicated on demand. Vehicle was still warming up. Coolant was reading at operating temp, oil temp was 140ish.
I could always force it into 2nd if I put it in manual and shifted up using the paddles or shifter when it was hanging in first.
Other gears are not hanging, reverse works fine.
I also noticed that right off the line when 1st gear would hang, the car will hesitate a little and buck for a short moment, after that I will have to shift for it to go into 2nd. So far, if it doesn't hesitate, it will shift fine (around 2k rpm).
I have not scanned for codes yet. This is my first DSG after driving a mk6 6spd manual so I am not too familiar with it. I've researched so far that sometimes a DSG recalibration can be done via OBD 11.
Also read for another DSG owner a dirty fuel filter caused similar issues.
Any input is appreciated.
