As the title suggests, I just got around to changing my 2018 GTI's plugs at 35K miles. They are the VW OEM plugs (purchased at dealer). Easy job aside from the crappy coil clips (I broke two of the four -- pretty sure it was unavoidable due to garbage design and quality of components). In any event, after the 40 minute job, the car's definitely idling a little smoother. Also worth mentioning, my coils all had (factory) grease at the plug contact points (so removal was very easy). All plugs all came out looking uniform (probably good for another 25K but a bit worn looking).
