2016 Golf R - VW hatch badge stuck

I have a 2016 Golf R. I have an intermittent issue when the rear VW hatch badge won't close after shifting out of reverse. Happens about 50% of the time and is a big problem when stuck open and I can't open the hatch.

Anyone else have experience with this?

This happened to me recently. If you push on the camera lens it will pop back in. Thinking something may need to be lubed

And keep it clean. Happened to me in winter, but it was the opposite. Wouldn't pop out
