2014 MK7 with 2015 VIN?

Hi guys.

I recently bought myself 2014 MK7 1.6 TDI, first registration in UK August 2014, but VIN seems to be as of 2015 model, with letter representing a year being F.

Is this common or shall I be worried about something?

Production of build year (or model year) 2015 cars for the UK market started in week 22 of 2014. Therefore it is possible to have a 2014 registered car which is build year / model year 2015

As above..mines built in October 2014...so a 2015 model spec, but registered as 2014 plate...(64)..all correct & ok

It's a MY2015 vehicle. As has been mentioned, the MY switches about half way through the calendar year.
