2014 Golf GTD Revealed! Could be first diesel Golf/GTI for the U.S.

The GTD would be an instant success in the states. Doesn't VW know this? I would write a check today... and I've never owned a VW. I've only test driven a '12 TDI and GTI. When I saw photos of the MK7 I said, "come on Maxima... just 16 more months". I am pretty sure I am going diesel regardless.

^^^Diesel doesn't have that big of a following in the states. Which is why it's probably still up in the air...I would love to check one of the GTDs out tho.

Stopped in to a VW dealer today just to poke around, started talking to one of the sales guys and according to him they are supposed to be getting the GTD at the end of this year. That would be awesome. He also mentioned that the CC and Tiguan are getting diesels. Could be some good stuff coming down the pipeline. Makes me glad I'm not quite in the market for a vehicle yet.
