2014 Chevrolet SS 6.2 Liter Thoughts

Thoughts on this car, the price seems way too high for the us market in my opinion. With the newer releases of the camaro and the latest mustang. Looks awfully bland as well for such a powerful car. However with a 6.2L vette ls3 motor, i would only imagine huge power gains from simple modifications

3,975 lbs, $45,000, 6.2L, 415 hp, 415 ft tq

I really wish it had a manual option. They're really shooting themselves in the foot by not offering one.

They just paid their last payment to the government and are back to making bad decisions. Looks like things are back to normal in the U.S. auto industry.

I think it looks nice other than the front end... But yeah, a manual would be sweet... there aren't a ton of buyers for something like that, but it'd be in a class of one and some people would buy.

Also, it's a little steap, Dodge Charger R/Ts are only down 40 hp and are about $10k+ cheaper, no? An SRT8 Superbee has is beat by 40ish hp and can still be had for cheaper.

yep.

Lack of manual option
Price

Those 3 things will hold it back.

It needed to be closer to $40K, but I still don't think the price is that bad, esp for the engine and being 4doors, etc.

I dislike how many of GM's products have that odd bend in the wiper arms. Deal-breaker.

As for the price, the first 10 will be sold to diehards at MSRP. The rest will be sold with an 8k rebate.

6.2 though? big gains with minor bolt ons could yield some good drag times. but that auto. dsg is the only automatic id buy and even so..its a bitch explaining to some of my car friends that its just as/slightly faster than a manual. Mainly cause traditional autos on "sporty" cars come with a huge performance loss (wrx auto im looking at you).

Being outclassed by a car on the market since 06 those are the real deal breakers
