2013 Mk7 TDI - what brakes to buy?

Hi all, new to the forum, nice to meet you and thanks in advance for replying!

I have a 2013 Mk7 TDI, and it's brakes are nearing the end of their life cycle. Can anyone please recommend some good brakes and pads that I can buy online without going through VW? I don't have a huge budget and I don't need to buy expensive, just whatever will last and get the job done well.

It's a UK Golf but I live in the Netherlands, so likewise if there are any recommendations for sourcing new parts I'd be really grateful.

Thanks all!

I don't know your cars engine build or brake discs sizes, so I can't give you specific brakes....

If your front calipers have "57" stamped on them, you can upgrade the fronts to 312mm sized front discs (GTI spec) by fitting the 312mm caliper carrier (bracket that holds the caliper) & bigger discs, everything else is the same.....I did a "how to guide"...

Thanks very much for your thorough reply mate, really appreciate it. I haven't checked the caliper number yet, can I get those caliper carriers online too?
