Figure I should say hello.

Been using this site for a resource for a while. I have always been a Audi VW guy. A6, SQ5. I have a 2015 GTI SE (6 speed) with 36,xxx miles my daughter drives.

I personally drive a 2018 Ford Raptor, but decided I needed a commuter car. 15mpg and 18,xxx miles year on one car was too much. So when VW offered the 72 months @ 0% financing, I decided to get a 2020 GTI SE (6 speed) as a commuter car, and I would give it to my second daughter in a few years when she turns 16.

Already used this site for resources to replace the stereo in the 2020. Replaced all the speakers and put a 6 channel amp and 2 - 10's in.

So here is my 2020 GTI.

Here is my 2015 GTI.

And my Raptor for good measure.

My oldest daughter had a 2014 GTI before her 2015, but someone pulled out in front of her and totalled it. It held up so well in the crash we went from a mk6 to a mk7 with no regrets.

Ok so I have a question for you.
Would you give up the Raptor for JUST the GTI.
OR, if you had a GTI would you be willing to give it up to have JUST a Raptor?

I've wanted a Raptor for some time. But I just can't imagine going from the fun, sporty, practical and fuel efficient GTI or Golf R.
I am keeping my 2015 for another couple of years. I want to see what the MK8 R brings to the table and now the next gen Raptor.

So I came from a 2015 Audi SQ5. The reason I moved from the SQ5 to the Raptor is I needed more room. The SQ5 was just like the Golf in regards to size. And a trip to the wholesale club and grocery store pretty much filled up the back and rear seats in the SQ5.

The Raptor is every bit as "fast" as a GTI or even the SQ5. My commute is 30 mile round trip and we drive a lot. Lot's of road trips. So I was putting 18k a year on my Raptor. Wanted to get a car to commute with that had good mpg and was fun to drive. The GTI was a natural.

But, to answer your question.....if I had to choose 1 car........it would be the Raptor. It is a beast. Still very fast. But has all the room a family of 4 needs.

For the record...my wife drives a 2018 Ford Explorer Sport.

Here was my outgoing SQ5
