Hi everyone, I need your help!!
I have a 2019 4 door GTI, the car is stock and I've been looking for a new set of wheels.
I found a guy who's selling a new set of hre ff04 wheels at a very low price, the problems is that they are 19x9 with 35 offset. I'm worried about the 9 inch wide, does anyone knows of the wheels will fit normally on the car? Or if it will rub? The tires I'm thinking for the wheels would be 235/35.
Please help the wheels are at a VERY good price and I don't want to miss this opportunity

This same basic question was asked a few days ago in the Aggressive Fitment/Stance thread a few below this. Here's my response:

9" wide is not the issue, it's the +35 offset that is more aggressive than you'd probably want without something to add negative camber up front. You're going to poke all around, though you might not easily rub at stock height. It's just not a look I'm into.

What kind of mod do I have to do?
Camber plates, something like fixed units from SuperPro, 034, or adjustable versions from Ground Control or Vorshlag. With stock springs/ride height you can probably get almost -2 degrees up front. Lowering the car a little will add some more camber.

In the rear, the camber is adjustable quite a bit, shouldn't be tough for an alignment shop to get you to -2 there.

Just to give you some context, my fronts rubbed pretty aggressively with a 19x8.5 et45 on a 235/35. Needed to do the fender screw mod to get rid of it. +35 offset is going to be way tight, will definitely require some additional camber, and not to mention that a 235/35 on a 9" wide wheel is starting to venture into "stretched" territory.

If you absolutely love the wheels and are willing to make them work, go for it - you should be able to get there. However if you're looking for something you can just bolt on and drive away, I wouldn't suggest it.

Do you have any mods on the suspension?

That GTI has a lowered suspension, do you think 235/35 on stock suspension will still rub?
I'd say there's a 80% chance you have no issues with rubbing with that setup , but if you like how that GTI looked tucking tire, your car is not going to look like that.

You're talking about a wheel and tire package that is 33mm (1.3") further out from an OEM GTI wheel and tire. Take a book or stack of magazines that is that thick and put it flat against your wheel now. That's where this setup will sit. If you like that, go for it.

I'm not knocking anyone's preferences, but this is what an 18x8.5 ET 35 looks like on a MK6 at stock ride height, a MK7 will be similar but I wasn't going to dig around google forever. This setup has ~6mm LESS poke than what a 19x9 ET35 has:

Yes, I'm lowered an inch on the the Koni Sport Cup Kit. Stock alignment settings. It's still tight with an 8.5 and a 235. With the additional offset you'd be running plus it being a 9" wide wheel, even on stock ride height you'll still have issues. If you want to keep stock ride height, I'd take the suggestions others have given and get adjustable camber plates (at the least), and dial in a bunch of negative camber to tuck the wheel into the wheel well. It's doable, but as I said before - not plug and play for that setup, unfortunately. That setup sounds like it'd be right at home on an Audi A4/A5.

I end up buying them xd
Now it's time to fit them properly, what should I do first?
I tested the front wheel with a 235/35 tire and it didn't rub at any position, does anyone know if a 245/45 would be a problem?
Also I forgot about the spacing in the back, will the rear tire poke the same as the front?
I'm considering the seibon carbon fiber wide front fenders or the Srs tec
Another option but Im not to sure about this one, is rubbing the wheel and increase the offset to 40
I'm open to critics and suggestions, but I'm new in this of mods
