Cheers!

Nice. This May shift me to you from neuspeed. The price is good and the discount if you damage a rim for a replacement is awesome as well

Right on! I always appreciate seeing posts that compare our wheels to some of the more established aftermarket brands in the VW community. I have worked with plenty of VW/Audi guys that have made the switch from Neuspeed wheels to our SM-10s but I have yet to hear of anyone going back.

Let me know if you have any questions before pulling the trigger!

I smell a group buy… please.

We will 100% be planning on a launch Group Buy for the new VS-5RS wheels. However, that timeline is still yet to be determined. I will be sure to keep you guys in the loop with any progress on that front moving forward!

I may get another set of RSe05s at some point. I have SM-10s on one GTI and RSe16s on the other (and had RSe05s on another R and GTI I had, yes I have had 4 MK7s). Waiting to see more info on your forged wheels and may still get wheels for the Taos I bought for my daughter, can't decide on Apex or Neuspeed for that.

Neuspeed definitely has us beat as far as wheel design offerings go, since we technically only offer the SM-10 for VW/Audi at the moment. That said, with the forged VS-5RS wheels inbound and a few more projects in the works, we should have a decently bolstered VW/Audi catalog by the end of the year!

After seeing the SM-10s on your Taos, it's quite obvious where my vote would go. Hard to beat Anthracite on that blue! Plus, the 17x8.5" ET43 SM-10s are currently discounted to $275 a piece as a part of our Tax Season Sale.

Any GTI Photos of SM-10 in Race Silver Yet!
So far, we have sold 5 full sets of the 17x8.5" ET43 wheels in Race Silver. However, I have yet to see any on-car photography roll through. If anyone on here has purchased a set, please feel free to share any pictures you might have with the class!

Just finished mounting and balancing my 17x9 black SM10s… definitely one of the best wheels I’ve seen regarding runout (all under 0.009in laterally and radially measured at the bead seat and rim lips).

You’d be amazed at what “straight” wheels look like from some manufacturers.

I was impressed with the quality on the first set of Apex wheels I mounted last year for a friends C5 track car.
On an unrelated side note a few of the RT660s took just shy of 80psi to seat. I don’t think my new neighbors are a fan 😅

I’ll be putting them on the car tomorrow night barring disaster. Fingers crossed no rubbing at stock ride height.

Nice, post them pics. I literally have this same set in the cart haven't purchased yet. I'm debating if 17x9 is a bit much, maybe 17x8.5 to avoid rubbing on fender. But people at stock height are claiming not rub issues.

Can't say I'd recommend if you plan on staying stock height. Had to do some silly stuff to not rub the fuel filler neck at ride height. Front poke is quite noticeable and I may have to do the fender screw mod to not rub while hitting curbs at VIR this weekend.

8.5s would be the easy button. I talked myself into 17x9s only because they fit the AP Racing BBK which I plan on doing at some point, and I WILL be adding camber as well. I just really wanted one more event 100% stock suspension first to get a baseline.

Edit: they do look friggin awesome though! I'll probably buy another 1-2 sets for daily and/or rain(track) tires eventually. Normally not a fan of black wheels but because of the Rabbit Edition accents, I don't think anything else would look quite right.
