Are you able to log the coolant temp sensor (g62) data together with the different oil temp related PIDs and see how they affect each other (esp the PIDs that is based on calculation)?

The water will drain out from that hole straight to the area between the firewall and car body. You can't really see the hole from outside of the car as it is hidden beneath the firewall metal sheet if viewed from the bottom.
