Installing a subwoofer to Golf 7.5 Alltrack

I've traded in my GTI with Dynaudio for an Alltrack and I miss the extra oumph that the sub provided. A friend of mine gave me an active 6" slim subwoofer (GAS GS660A) which he had laying around. It has both low level and high level input and I'm not really sure which option is best/easiest. I...

Burger Tuning JB4 Golf 1.8TSI MQB specific information thread

I got a euro mk7 GTI (2014) now with a JB4 and I'm looking into swapping it for a euro Alltrack 2018. From what I understand I should be able to change to firmware to match and use my Jb4 on the Alltrack?

JB4 Logging, stacking and Map 6 Discussion

After some driving with the 6b firmware I noticed that part throttle can be a little rough. Upgraded to the 8_6_T3 firmware which after some quick testing seems to be alot better. Did a few pulls (after some stop and go traffic so it was pretty heatsoaked)...

JB4 Logging, stacking and Map 6 Discussion

Downgraded the firmware yesterday to 6b. Could not really determine which version 85 is? I'm having a hard time following the different versions and the naming scheme. First pull: https://datazap.me/u/callekl/clutchsaver-e25-jb4-6b?log=0&data=1-2-3-4-5-6-11-14-18-19-25-26-27-28-29 Second pull...

    Detaling time (CQuartz UK)

It's almost three years ago now since I first got my car and detailed it with CarPro Essence and CarPro CQuartz UK. There's still protection left from the CQuartz coating but the amazing beading has started to wear off. This is the stuff that I have available: * DA polisher (DAS6 clone) * Sonax...

JB4 Logging, stacking and Map 6 Discussion

Just filled up with 9L of E85 and the with 98RON and did a few pulls. Not sure if the fuel had mixed properly and reached the injectors by the first pull. https://datazap.me/u/callekl/clutch-saver-e20-202006?log=0&data=1-2-3-4-5-6-11-14-18-19-25-26-27&zoom=0-189 From what I can see it looks good?

    Show us your MK7

Gave the car a much needed wash today. Afterwards a spirited drive was needed to clean up the rotors 🤠

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Gave the car a much needed cleaning. Very happy with the CQuartz UK coating and Soft99 Ultra Glaco glass treatment. Beading in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxVBvskqvgM&feature=youtu.be

What did you do to your mk7 today?

I have one here in my project thread: https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42072 Will update the thread with some new pictures in the next couple of days. I really like the wheels, they have a very nice depth in the spokes and they look really meaty IRL.

What did you do to your mk7 today?

The car received a proper spring cleaning. Mounted my Thule roof rack that hasn't been used yet. Also added some paint protection film under the feet of the rack mounts. It's almost 2 years since it got polish, the CQuartz UK coat delivers nice gloss and good protection.

The Swedish Limestone (2014 GTI PP DCC)

Found a nice 6MT Golf GTI MK7 during the summer of 2017. It only had 19 000km on the clock and had never been driven during the winter before. They come pretty high speced from the beginning in Sweden. But this is the (TLDR) good stuff: Limestone Grey Metallic 18" VW Austin during summer, 17"...
