there’s a thick negative wire that connects one bolt on the starter/transmission to the frame of the car, could that be what they changed? this is under the air filter box.

I know there’s some adaptation(s) and possibly some long coding related to carplay, maybe you can check that if you haven’t already? adaptation “vehicle configuration” - Apple DIO - “On”. there’s also “byte 19 USB” in the long coding, check if it’s set to “usb_ipod”.
