    Carbon cleaning tools

Media Blaster I bought, only issue I had was the hose was too short for me. Other than that it works perfectly.

    Carbon cleaning tools

Bought a $25 blaster off amazon, I have used it several times and its works perfect. I spent more on getting a longer hose and swivel air fitting for it than the gun lol. If you've already got an air compressor, you're good to go then. I got the one that sucks up the walnuts, a gravity fed gun...

    Leaking water pump MK7 GTI2016

Glad to hear it went well! Sorry I never responded, rarely do I get on here. I should have mentioned pressure testing after install, sorry about that. That union is what gets most people.

    Leaking water pump MK7 GTI2016

They leak, its common. They're super easy to replace it takes like 2-3hrs. You can do it from underneath or as I like to do, remove the intake manifold to do it. Usually its the thermostat housing, not the water pump, that leaks. All you need is an intake manifold gasket, t-stat housing w/...

    Engine temp fluctuating

Most likely a faulty coolant temp sensor. Replace that, clear faults, and re-check.

    Prepaid Maintenance Plan Question

I work for a dealer, I'm not involved with VWCare. It doesn't apply to me.

    Prepaid Maintenance Plan Question

Its based off both. I've done 20Ks on cars with 8-11k miles. But if you're over the mileage, they won't honor it. So if you're at 23k miles, it'll become a 30K. But it also depends on the dealer.

Front Assist Error after FMIC Install

correct. I'm telling you what VW says you must do. I'm also saying you can remove it and not need a re-calibration because fitment is the same. But if the camera falls forward or isn't mounted correctly it will throw it off. Same thing if the bumper/grille fitment is off. It's very sensitive

Front Assist Error after FMIC Install

If the grille was removed, the sensor needs to be re-calibrated. The fitment more than likely isn't the exact same and its not seeing correctly. Its annoying but per VW it needs to be re-calibrated every time the grille is removed. Sometime you can get away with it but grille/bumper fitment can...

New (to me) 2017 Alltrack Highline (SEL?)

Doesn't matter, frames crack easily on those golf chassis'. Drain tubes are usually the issue but they're known for frames too. I don't trust VW with a sunroof at all. I'd say 80% of Alltracks that come thru the shop leak and probably 15-20% of Tiguans

    auto stop start not working

There's a list on knowyourvw.com or in the owners manual online where it shows what requirements are needed for start/stop. I have it in my box at work but its several requirements long. I know it has interior temp, engine temp, seat belt, defrost, battery voltage, and a bunch more.
