Oh so an aftermarket IS20 will lag more than a stock IS20 with both using stock fueling? That would definitely not be ideal.

I didn't know there were any stage 3 turbos that didn't require fueling upgrades, is it just the TPC20 or any IS20 based turbo (standard vortex?)?

I passed with no modification. I did go to a small shop run by a couple nice guys, they've done some work for me in the past and have always been cool which is why I drove the extra distance, I think this is good advice regardless of what you've done to your car.

Okay that's actually great news. I have OTS EQT stage 2 and my catalyst and O2 sensors are saying "ready" under diagnostics. Scan for codes also comes up clean. So it sounds like I'm actually good to go.

Despite my GTI only being a year old I've thought about this question. I've already gone in with downpipe + stage 2 tune and with summer tires I have no problem putting the power down. A bigger turbo would actually reduce torque down low where traction usually falters and increase power up top...

Nope totally stock suspension, just wheels+tires. The rub was on the inside of the tire, there's a metal shield for the fuel line coming down from the pump port that sticks out a bit more than anything else. Could have been solved with spacers too I guess?

I'm running 245/40/18 PS4S + RSE10 on stock height and rubbed on the back right tire against the fuel line shielding, bending that a bit fixed it and no problems since then.

All of these testimonials make it tempting, but it seems like everyone who has their TCU tuned says it's a transformation because they don't use the paddles. I ONLY use the paddles so I feel like I wouldn't really feel any transformation. Maybe not worth the money? I'll wait until EQT has a tune...
