Yep. I have all the shifter improvements, but using a Golf R shifter in a regular Golf actually puts it pretty high. I think the base on regular Golfs is different. I rather like it as I've never liked a little stub. Didn't think i have a pic unfortunately

I'm having the same issue. Tried almost everything & seems to be bad clutch. Try revving in neutral, and press clutch in & try to engage gear as rpm's drop & it should slot in easily.
