Thought I better update this thread hopefully it helps someone else. Quick summary. Infotainment screen died randomly one day. Would not reset when holding power put down, new fuses behind glove box for infotainment system did not fix the issue. Booked into VW Mansfield main dealer. £165...

No power to the USB port. My phone won't charge. From my understanding be careful with secondhand unit. The new one will need to be coded to the car. Something to do with component protection.

Did you go with the dealer to get it fixed ?

Ok update. Been into main dealer today. Told the screen is dead and quoted a new one for £3,000 Can't believe how much it is to replace. Car must only be work £9k possibly. I'm going to look at removing the unit and send away for testing.
