Just curious - should that be a new OEM DV from a golf R, or an aftermarket DV? I've read that aftermarket DV's are either not needed and/or do not always function properly and can cause issues.

The off-the-shelf stage 1 tunes are all pretty similar from what I understand, so if you aren't planning on doing any custom stuff, just get whichever one is cheaper/on sale.

what tire pressures do you run? have you ever run a little low on air? although the front toe isn't extreme, if you ever ran the tires low on air, it would help scrub down that inside edge really quickly.

Looks great! I've always been told to use MDF over plywood though, because plywood can resonate like crazy when sound is applied to it, while MDF is sonically "dead" and won't vibrate. Do you think you'll have any issues using plywood for those bass cannons?

is that your brake pads knocking back and forth in the caliper? if your pads don't have retaining clips, or the clips are broken/loose/old, they will make noise when going from reverse to drive and vice versa sometimes. but if that noise is coming from the trans, I'm not sure if it's normal or not

mine can get up to 230 in stop and go traffic. once I hit the freeway, it immediately drops down to 215-220

originals are 6.5" and have a built-in spacer. 8's would definitely need some cutting to fit, and you'd have to measure the back of the door panel to see if it would fit over a larger speaker.

Also, since the spring is located further outboard than the stock setup, it changes the motion ratio acting on the spring (think lever arm torque), so even though the rate isn't much different than the previous setup's, the spring located further from the center of the car will act stiffer...

have you checked all of the boost piping to see if a coupler broke and a hose popped off somewhere?

How would you attach/bond the CF to the plastic? maybe just glue or epoxy would work? Working with CF is a bit tricky, and just FYI, do not try cutting it without using a proper respirator. CF dust can really wreck your lungs if inhaled.
