Narrower is better. More pressure smushing the tire into the ground as the weight is concentrated into a smaller contact patch. Plus it's hilariously fun to go from wide sticky summer tires to skinny snow tires. So easy to spin them up when launching a car.

I swear by Hawk Ceramics. I have them on my Mini which has white wheels, and what little dust gets on the wheels is also a light gray color which makes it much less noticeable.
