What did you do to your mk7 today?

I feel you there, installed my ECS TMD and turbo inlet pipe a while back, that was a major bitch, along with installing my GFB blow off valve for which I actually had to grind off a very small amount of plastic of metal surrounding it as the length of the BOV wouldn't allow the turbo inlet "arm"...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

If I may, where did you find those GTI wheel center caps to go with those F04's?

What did you do to your mk7 today?

I disagree. I just plugged my phone in today and it linked right up to my google maps on the screen, probably better looking and functioning gps than most cars come with from the factory, only downside is you need to plug your phone in, but I mean if you're like most phone addicts anyhow you'll...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

I really don't understand this phone holder shit..why're you trying to all this crazy stuff so you're phone will be even more of a distraction while driving??? If you're getting GPS from your phone, just put the audio on and stick it in your cupholder...that or get a garmin and a solid mount for...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Rims possibly unbalanced? I do try to stay away from any rims that require hub rings but most sets I have run in the past were fine even with the plastic rings, these on a 2016 and 2013 GTI. If the shit is new I would have them re-balanced either way, if the vibs still occur perhaps a...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Yup, I owned a mk5 as my first GTI and I remember getting my little "fast" doll with it. Been on every gti since one way or another

What did you do to your mk7 today?

It has a piston that screws onto the shaft, so it's a lift setup not a button. I like it, feels more actively like shifting yet it's still as solid as the stock shifter.

What did you do to your mk7 today?

No idea. Got the knob they offer in that color perf leather for the dsg.

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Installed my lovely deep red BFI weighted shift knob, install was fairly easy, easier than I thought it'd be at least. Also tacked on a fast vinyl and some matte black eyelid vinyls from badgeskins! Car is still filthy right now, sorry the picture doesn't really show the fast vinyl that well...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Why in the holiest of shits would anyone...ANYONE pay $650 for a set of lug bolts?????? I don't care if they weigh nothing, weight on bolts alone doesn't matter worth shit. I wouldn't be caught dead paying more than $70-80 for a set of bolts for my car..

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Yes the 7.5 has open areas on the lower fascia, NOT the intake scoops, those are still open passenger side closer drivers side like before.

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Realistically this is easy to avoid, just don't pressure wash the hell out of directly under the front of the hood.. The scoops are placed so the air comes up from the front fascia from underneath the front of the hood. Only way even with the stock scoops wide open for water to actually get to...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

I also considered running an aftermarket IC as well but doing some looking into it the stock unit does fairly well for what it is unless I'm running a VERY aggressive tune which I'll never do again, not to mention installing an IC on this car is a bitch and a half and I've already basically told...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

You might see a degree or two benefit if you're going 80+ mph on a super hot day, but realistically this engine doesn't ever get crazy hot anyways on the top end, any heat is typically seen back by the turbo which would be out of reach from a small front air vent. It's a turbo therefore if...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Sweet thanks man. Sucks that it's still $100 (replacement R600 filters are around that) but I understand also it's a custom piece made to fit this intake, and also with this I can use a dry element

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Stock intake fascia is open inside the passenger side, some say its for "engine cooling" I say it's stupid. Also the R is air straight to filter and back through inlet piping. Stock forces air along a slimmer fascia, down a tiny duct that goes back up behind the intake box, back down an even...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

Finally installed my R600 intake along with a fresh new GFB Bov DV conversion (replacement of piston and stock spring with BOV/DV unit), and ECS front custom air scoops. Quite a bit of swearing and finagling especially after fitting the BOV as it extends the DV out far enough that it was JUST...

What did you do to your mk7 today?

I am aware I'm modifying as a DIYer, but that's not really a counter to the original point which was they misrepresented their product (since this was reported now USP has their r600 labeled as requiring drilling and cutting modification)
