Obd2 Scanner

[2015_GTI]

Hello everyone, I own a 2015 VW GTI that recently got a check engine light and my old one doesn't seem to connect and show me the specific code and kinda got tired of going to the dealership to find out what is wrong. Is there any specific VW OBD2 scanner or a 3rd party scanner that will be compatible with the vehicle?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

OBD11 or VCDS is your best option by far for general diag for these cars. Not only will they read any engine module, but the 20+ other modules in the car. Plus perform various diag functions etc. I have OBD11, but they changed their model recently to a subscription style, so give VCDS a look IMO.
