Good choice, I have 17x8 RSE05's for my winter setup. The wheels are lightweight, use stock hardware, and easy to clean.Im going Neuspeed.
This is my setup. I recently went with the recommended oem winter tire size of 205/50/17 instead of the 225/45/17 like my last set. I don’t really notice a change in the way the car handles between the two sizes. I was having major feathering in the rear with the wider tires. Not sure what that was about but had the alignment and struts checked and was told everything looked good. Gonna see how the oem size goes this year. View attachment 198100View attachment 198101
The rear tires started to feather or wear unevenly on one side of the tire. This is typically an alignment issue but alignment was within spec so not sure what the unusual wear was all about. The only thing I can think of is my commute was mostly on dry highway pavement and I guess that is not great for the wear on a deep snow winter tire.what is “feathering in the rear” ?
I’m running 235/45 17s. No issues. This is my setup. I recently went with the recommended oem winter tire size of 205/50/17 instead of the 225/45/17 like my last set.
