Should I replace water pump during de-carb?

I plan on doing my second de-carb soon and I'm wondering if I should preemptively change the water pump while I got the manifold off. My 10' GTI has what I believe is the factory water pump. I bought the car with 28k and I have never had any leaking or other issues. At 115k now and I do plan on keeping the car for a while. I know these are prone to failure but I'm wondering if its worth it or not to replace while car is apart.. If so, what brands, versions or OE revisions are the best out there? I've seen metal ones but not sure if those are worth it.

Im all about maximizing work done while you are already under the hood. The water pump is a big job, and seeing that it already has a few miles on it, I recommend doing it. I can't answer what brands, but I believe vw updated their water pumps, maybe look into that
