My vote is for keeping the GTI and springing for the S2K. Really cool garage for the money, lots of fun and still practical. (My bias, I plan to keep my MK7 and get a convertible ('18 or newer Mustang GT or an older Boxster S) in the next few years.)

I have used the butt end of a screw driver and a light tap from the inside to pop out my VW wheel caps -- easy peasy. I'm still keeping the APEX caps on because I think they look good and it's a little act of protest against VW for its factory wheels.
