    100% how I look at this and I should have noted that. I would take a high-flow open intake over the stocker anyday if you are upgrading power.

    It most definitely draws in warmer air however testing shows that once you heat it in the turbo and cool it in the IC that small amount of temp makes no difference in the IATs....it does however change the turbo WG duty a bit as the turbo has to work a bit harder to compress the warmer...

    She said the spring tang was "mangled" so not really sure - I'll end up getting it back so will be curious to see what is broken that caused it...like you said, almost like it is not attached fully to the block? Likely working on it next week so I may swing by and have a look.

    Got my plugs today! Gap measured on all 4 was 0.020".

    Exactly. So you don't max it but so easy to get past emissions.

    I simply don't see why you can't tune any of the common "normal size" turbos with the stock DP? So you leave some power on the table.

    Not everyone cares about resale value - I don't see how it impacts it anyway, at a min. you just lose the upgrade money which again, to many, who cares. I though on the R with the fuelling upgrades you can get quite a bit out of this vs. a stage 1 on the stock IS38?

    And I don't think it's worse etc. b/c I don't think this happens often - v. rare best I can tell. Every part has some failure rate.

    How do you know your car misfires with the Ruths vs. another plug? Have you tried other plugs to check? Cold misfires are common on these cars and likely this isn't related to the heat range of the plug. Sounds like cold-start misfires which are more likely carbon buildup/needs an intake...
