Rented a 9' cargo van to pick up all my OEM take offs which have been gathering dust at HPA. I may need to get a bigger storage locker. Or stop hoarding them and junk them.
Spoke to Marcel a bit about the car. Looking like I may be able to have it back in a few weeks.
Yeah I think we've talked about this in another thread. My only dealing with him was really negative and took tons of work on my end to get things right, and even then I had to still pay shipping on the return to Malaysia. What a PoS.
Yes, the very same one DerHase was talking about a while ago. It was purchased many months before all the information about cooling came out but still decided to put it on.
Something I was also mulling over is paint matching the hood, and leaving the edges of the vents as exposed CF. Maybe when I financially recover from all of this.
The alignment shop snapped some alignment porn while it was there for alignment a week or two ago:

No good shots of the part of the front subframe for the problem spot unfortunately.
It was definitely something about the front, but memory bad so I'll follow up next time I pop by the shop.
The car went off for its final alignment, Seibon hood installed and a few more bits and bobs with the interior. Stoked to see it next week probably.

Went by HPA today to bring by my summer tires as it's getting pretty warm a bit early up here. Got a real sweet tour of all the new work on the car: a lot of it doesn't get shown but they performed some minor miracles to get the diffuser and exhaust to mount correctly to the verkline rear...
Sweet ty!
It's the MK7 diffuser. They only made them briefly before ending production due to low demand. This was probably the last new one left anywhere. Had it during in a box for well over a year waiting to be installed.
More WIP shots for the track prep and build finalization. Still a fairly long list of things to do but pretty happy to see movement on it in the run up to track season.
Making way for easy camber adjustment at the top hats.
