6 years ago I bought my GTI. What a wonderful journey on 2 continents so far.
111000km later I still enjoy driving it every day. This morning - as a birthday present - we celebrated another Italian tune on our way to work. Later I ordered the first new pads and rotors since delivery.

That's right. I've been using a Carlinkit 4.0 for about a year now which I think works well. @mr-fix has some great video reviews and a Google Doc with specs in this thread here if you want to compare some different options.

Popping on my autocross tires a few days early to be sure they’re scrubbed in as much as possible on the street before this weekend. From what I’ve read, these v730’s have a stubborn release compound that can be fairly slick before they’ve been run a bit.
