After driving at night a few times I wish I went with 30 on the driver and front passenger windows. 20 is pretty dark at night, I'm not sure how people see anything at night with 5%.

I agree 100%. On my last car I had 35/20 and even 35 seemed too dark sometimes, mostly when there was no lights around me and I was trying to reverse

Not black but still a dark color.

here is mine with 35% Xpel XR+. Darkest legal in NC. It does look a little darker in this photo than in person, but it is still pretty dark

imo cops don't care about tints or missing front plates anymore. used to get pulled over all the time for both, now, i haven't for like 5 years

Almost 2 years front-plate free, haven't gotten so much as a second glance from a cop. Naturally probably just jinxed it but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

3d floor mat for my GSW, if weathertech would get their head right and fully cover the dead pedal I might have bought that instead

Acexxon honeycomb rear reflector inserts

Golf R rep headlights. I believe they are either EdReps or Helix, not sure, as I picked them up slightly used from someone local, and he had forgotten where he bought them. Regardless, doesn’t matter to me and honestly a necessary mod if you have the base model S hatch with halogens. Combined with a drop and wheels, these housings completely transform to look of the car.
Car also has 3M IR ceramic tint, 20% hatch and rear doors, 35% front doors, 50% windshield. Fwiw, sitting on KW V3 coilovers and VMR v701 18x8.5 +35 with a falken rt-615k+ 225/40. Had these on my b5 s4 for years and recently got some new wheels for it so they moved to the golf, looks better on here than the Audi, IMO

Thank you! Considering it’s a base base base model S, the only option literally being rubber mats (lol), I’m really stoked on the way it’s come together. Forgot to add the car also has front and rear R Seats, interior needs to be cleaned but the seats were a major upgrade, especially because I commute about 75 miles a day.

Haha, thanks sir. Not my first run around the block, I’ve been longtime in the VW/Audi community and come from the B5 world as a resident idiot/masochist. This one is just my daily, but I do love it and even though the b5 is my true love, this car is so good and so fun to drive, it’s also a Uni stage 2 IS20- catted uni DP, stock exhaust, APR intake, and (unfortunately) the 09G auto. The only real thing I wish I was different.

Would you believe the car has 99k miles? I do own a business detailing and overall maintaining and assisting with super high end cars/collections, so I can’t help but keep the golf as minty as I can.

Haha, I forget how uncomfortable the stock seats are until my passengers always make a comment on how good the R seats feel. So sad though, can’t turn my heaters on in the seats because my stripper model has no buttons for it . Next thing to mod I guess..
