This was the day after I took it to my local detail shop. They use a lot of the Gtechniq products from what I know. I take it to them twice a year for a thorough clean and coating of things I’m too lazy to do.

When I clean the car I typically use a chemical guys soap via foam gun for a quick soak and then do a 2 bucket wash. I use an acid free wheel cleaner for the wheels, and then Glass-X and gtechniq quick detail after wash and drying the car. beasley’s products for cleaning the dash & I scotch-guard the fabric interior every 4-6 months.

Although, I like the aggressive front end on my Mk7.5, the one on the mk7 is just sooo clean. And the 7.5 headlights work well too.

Following up on my original post/question

I decided to pull the trigger on it and these are the results and I'm loving it ❤
installed on the car for a 1.5 week now and so far I haven't noticed any rubbing, been checking daily lol

I decided to pull the trigger on it and these are the results and I'm loving it ❤
installed on the car for a 1.5 week now and so far I haven't noticed any rubbing, been checking daily lol

Look at that state of the art MIB1 system and Apple 32pin cable in the center cubby lol.

Circa May 2021, not much has changed cosmetically lol.

Any long term owners here? Been through thick and thin in this car.
I think I'll drive it til the wheels fall off.

5.5 years and 60k miles with my ‘16 3-door GTI. I had one issue that was resolved but other than that this hot hatch has been solid! I have one baby with a second on the way. The future will be interesting for me, I hope I will keep the GTI or succumb to the necessity of getting a bigger car.
The decision will probably happen if a third child comes along!

That looks tight! I love the look, but for me living in new england I question going to 19's as it's pothole central around here.
