Front and rear wheel bearings. Straight forward install. The rear is super easy. The front was a little awkward to install by yourself, as I had the swivel/front bearing and coil-over pre-assembled.
Purchased a Klutch 40” ¾” drive Breaker Bar from Northen Tool to do the torque turn. Easy peasy when you have the right tools.

New rotors on the BBK – ready to do battle. R-lower fender liners to get some additional air into the wheel well. Ideally need to go to an R-front bumper.

Pagid RSL19 Rear Pads
Pagid RS19 rear pads. Cannot say enough good things about these. Been on for 2yrs. 10 track days and 56,000 street miles and they still have life in them. They are kind on rotors on the street and track.

VAQ Oil SERVICE - PP GTi

This weekend as part of my track prep, I replaced my VAQ Diff fluid and pump. This is the first time doing it myself.
I’d purchased a new pump a while back. The O-ring service kits from VW are stupid expensive 2-bolts and 2 O-rings.

DAP has a video on the fluid replacement. This is meant to be done at 32C or 90F. This appears to be significant when coming to resetting the adaptations for the VAQ pump after the replacement. After some trial and error to get the adaptations to reset.

Followed the Dap video on the oil change. My only change was to use a form-a-funnel which worked really well at directing the oil in the bucket.

The upper mounting bolt is unsighted and can be frustrating to remove. You will need a couple of 1/4” extensions and a wobble joint to get to it. BTW, removing the pump does not drain the oil from the VAQ sump. You still need to remove the lower drain plug.

After the oil change I could not get my OBD11 to reset the adaptations. I was able to activate the pump, so I could top off the fluid.
This is done with the ignition on.
Select Output Test
Select Haldex Clutch Actuation
Select Close and hit the green check mark
You will hear the pump running
I did this 3 times for approximately 20-30 seconds
There is a read hand to stop the test

**Edit**VAQ/Haldex Pump- Resetting Adaptations with OBD11

After a bunch of research, I have not found any real clear instructions on this process. I arrived at these conclusions through some trial and error and do not claim this to be the best way to do it but it appeared to work. So if anyone has some definitive and more educated guidance, I welcome the feedback.

So after trying to reset adaptations a number of time without any success, I was getting little frustrated to say the least. I tried with ignition on. I tried with the car running. No luck.

I recalled the DAP video saying that the diff had to be over 90F to do the fluid change. I was at 76F. Took the car for a slow drive around the neighborhood and got it to 95F in 5-mins.

With the ignition ON
Select Basic Settings
Select Reset Adaptations
Tap the “Resetting of all adaptations values”
Check the All adaptations values - click OK
Then hit the green mark ✅

The other thing I did was reset adaptations for the pump motor because I replaced the pump. Not sure whether this was necessary but did it anyway as it appeared to be the logical thing to do.(This step is definitely required, if you replace the pump. It won’t hurt anything if you do this after a diff oil change)
For this, I switched the engine on
Tap pump motor all adaptations and it brings up the white dialog box
Check the All Adaptations Values
Then hit the green mark ✅
I couldn’t hear the pump over the idling engine
But you will see that the status is active.
I let it run for a 30-40 seconds. (Not sure how long you should run this for)
Edit: I hit the red stop hand 🛑
Let the adaptation run to completion. Do not stop it like I did the first time. It will finish after a minute or so. You will here the pump cycle on and off 3 to 4 times. You need to do this if you replace the pump.

I welcome feedback on whether this is the correct process Using OBD11

I’m planning on repeating this prior to going to the track.

That sounds exactly like what I had to do. The fluid definitely had to be hot for a reset, but for me it was cold out and it took a bit.

A "form" funnel!? Is that what that's called!?!? Lol, I used aluminum foil! Had no idea a form funnel was a thing!

Didn't resetting all basic adaption set the VAQ back to the stock setting, vice Increased Traction?

No. I checked that exact thing. OBD11 is still showing increased traction.

That is a setting change and requires a security code.

Foil works just as well. Lol

I haven’t read this whole thread, but have you messed with the rear brake bias by any chance? Or do you find they still work well with the added stopping power up front?

Also do you have a link to your brake kit? I haven’t found much in the way of Powerstop stuff. Nice looking kit.

As far as I know, the APR BBK is a rebranded PopwerStop kit. Probably the best way to get it for better US support
Somebody correct me if I am wrong .
