If you have a 16 it won't work, 17 and newer will. If you want the app button to work because you have a 16 you need an updated brainSo as of now, it's hit-or-miss as to whether or not the APP button will work?
How do you update it if its already MIB 2? What do you need?If you have a 16 it won't work, 17 and newer will. If you want the app button to work because you have a 16 you need an updated brain
Well that makes me significantly less excited about this upgrade. Do you happen to have the part number to the MIB2 unit I would need to get? Mine is glitching out anyway so maybe I should replace that as well.

Hi,
Came a across this this thread as I'm looking to upgrade. really useful information.
I'm still a bit confused as to what the difference is between the 2 part numbers/screens
5G6919605A and 5G6919605B.
Can someone just clarify.
Apologise in advance if this was asked before.
It's also possible to use the 8" glass screen display (with those 2 turning knobs)on a MIB1 Discover Pro.
You need a little converter "thingy" Made by Suwtec:

Just sourcing parts, will report later.
Thanks ever so much for thatno difference, the "B" model is just newer. probably released with a new model year car, if there are any internal changes they are not discernible to the user.
edit: correction, I was wrong I was thinking of "A" and "C" model numbers, which are the same. Actually "A" and "C" are for screens without Nav and "B" and "D" have Nav. See below:
5G6919605A - 5G6919605C - 8" Glass Touchscreen Display (w/o Nav)
5G6919605B - 5G6919605D - 8" Glass Touchscreen Display (w/ Nav)
