I'll post all of it up tomorrow, once I've had a chance to look over everything.

how does MF correlate to the lease payment? I thought there was a way to convert it to be the equivalent of APR, not sure.

Thanks so much. So it looks like the incentives are better than last month - or am I seeing that wrong?

Does VW ever have decent leasing rates? Can one do multiple security deposits (like with MB or Acura) to reduce the rate? With one Acura I actually got the total lease costs to within $25 of the negotiated price.

Yes, what is the difference between the two rates?

TIA

RE: Money Factors
Most companies will money around with the money factor if they want to advertise a particular monthly payment amount, but generally they'll lower it if they want to get rid of inventory. Right now, the MF for a 2017 GTI is .00001

Security deposits: I don't have an answer for that, but your dealer probably does.

The difference between the 2 rates is... Well to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what determinations are made on the dealer's level. If you walk into the dealer with Tier 1 credit, you'll get the lower of the 2 APRs, but if you don't, the dealer has the option of financing you at 1.9? There's also a dealer 2nd choice available on some models, but the rate is higher and the cash is the same. In any case, both of those come with cash incentives that are greater than the VW dealer cash that's currently available. I'd ask your dealer if you want to know for sure.

Ha! so a 17 is basically a free lease.

I figured as much about the two tiers, so I'll get the best rate.

Thanks again. Very helpful.

This is better than last month, right?

Yes, I believe the APR cash has increased from last month. Not sure about the rest of it.

If you think that's a "free lease," you should see what some MFRs do. Chrysler Capital will actually bump their residual values when they can't make the money factor any lower. Like, the car suddenly increases in value by 5% for 39 vs 36mos?

Thanks again. Yes, some manufacturers get very "creative" with residuals.
