2019 Update: life unexpectedly got in the way just 2 months after I bought this car. It was a wild 2 years, and all is well now - but this build never came to fruition and my MK7 GTI stayed mostly stock until I traded her in. Check in with me on my 2019 GLI Build instead: https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54482
I always kept a running list of mods / planned projects at the top of my MK6 build thread (see link below), so I'm reorganizing this first post a bit to match... since the car is brand new, there won't be anything too crazy, but I guess you never know .
Phase One (refinement):
Spring/Summer 2017
Phase Two (handling):
tbd
Phase Three (power):
tbd

So on Friday I took a drive out to my dealership in my MK6, and decided to drive away in a brand new 2017 GTI SE ... That's my MK6 on the left.
My Last Build (2011 MK6 GTI)
My original build thread on the MK6 forum can be found here: http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57175
My MK6 was pretty aggressive, and I plan to keep my MK7 rather tame by comparison. I'm planning to do JB4 and a DeiselGeek short shifter to start her off right... but will plan carefully and move forward slowly from there. With only 37 miles on her off the lot, there's no hurry at all. I had my MK6 for 7 years, and 121,911 miles. I plan to have the MK7 for just as long.
Very excited to have a clean slate, and amazing car, to start again.
