Hi my new golf a 1.4tsi DSG GT is great but...
My phone (Samsung galaxy S4) pairs with the car but when i try and play audio, the tracks randomly stop playing, if i wait and push the play button on the infotainment screen they will start again run for a minute or so and then stop. Also i can't see playlists (though this worked when i tested my old iPod touch) Does anyone have the same problem or a solution please?

All my other media works well, cd's sd cards etc. Though the sound of the DAB radio leaves a lot to be desired.

My hand-me-down Samsung G. S1 works fine with none of the problems you mention, so it is not a generic fault..

I have a bit different problem with Bluetooth. My phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) paired well, but after that the radio says that it cannot connect to the phone. I have not set my phone to display contacts.

Any ideas?

I bought a Nexus 5. It syncs with Discovery Media, but does not show the contact pictures. I had a Galaxy S3 and functioned normally.
Does anyone know what can be?

Nexus 5 & Contact Pictures

I have a Nexus 5 as well and had the same issue with the contact pictures not showing up. After researching for a while, it turned out the problem was caused by a poor Phonebook Access Profile (PBAP) implementation in the latest firmware (KitKat in general, I have 4.4.4 ). I bought a small app that solved the problem at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android_rsap.irmc

You don't need to do anything but install the app and pair your phone with your car again (it doesn't require root). The pictures will appear after a few seconds on the contacts list.

ProTip : There is a free version of this app for testing (shows altered contact numbers): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android_rsap.irmctest
Go ahead and install that first so you verify it works for you before buying.

As per other brands and bluethooth related issues, this may prove usefull: http://android-rsap.com :)

It is certainly less reliable than i'd like.. but it does work for me most of the time. Browsing the playlist rarely works because it's too long and it times out, but that's cos i have too many tracks on the phone..<br>
The phone piece works ok, generally, never had issues with a HTC One X nor the missus Samsung G Siii mini.
